PhD in community mental health, lecturer, and researcher at the University of Antioquia, Medellín, Colombia.
Her interests are collective mental health, social armed conflict, and peacebuilding with a focus on rural Colombia, employing qualitative research and creative methodologies such as textile practices and narratives. She is a member of the research group Políticas sociales y servicios de salud (Social policies and health services) of the Faculty of Nursing, Núcleo problemático Salud mental, cuidado comunitario y ruralidad (Problematic unit of Mental health, community care and rurality); a member of the research and training area of the Asociación Campesina de Antioquia (Antioquia Farmers Association); and the Coordinator for Colombia and Latin America of the research activities on unarmed civilian protection of the Red Creando Espacios más seguros (Creating Safer Spaces Network).
