Fatima Afzal

 Fatima Afzal is a history enthusiast, currently pursuing a PhD at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.

She graduated with a B.A (Hons) in English from LUMS and an MSc in Modern South Asian Studies from Oxford University. Her research explores the influence of Orientalism on modern Punjabi culture and literature, and translation practices in North Indian vernaculars. Her focus is on the influence of Orientalist discourses and colonial law in shaping postcolonial, modern identities.
