Malena Velarde has a degree in Literature and teaches Literature (UBA). She is a doctoral fellow (LICH/CONICET) and teaches Literature and Mass Media at the Escuela Normal Superior en Lenguas Vivas S. E. Broquen de Spangenberg (Advanced School of Modern Languages S. E. Broquen de Spangenberg).
Since 2012, she has been involved in projects linking university and territory such as “Representaciones identitarias en el Bajo Flores” (FFyL-UBA) (Identitary representations in Bajo Flores), “CoAct: Justicia Ambiental en el Riachuelo” (FARN/CENIT-UNSAM) (CoAct: Environmental Justice in the Riachuelo), and the extension programme Memorias Recientes (FFyL – UBA) (Recent Memories). Her topics of interest revolve around environmental humanities, liquid ecologies, and the links between techno-artistic practices and environmental activism.
