Sokkoeun Man is Executive Director of Youth For Peace Organization. He graduated with two master's degrees in Education Management and Planning at the Royal University of Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and Applied Conflict Transformation (Peace and Conflict Studies) at Pannasastra University and the Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies (CPCS).
Sokkoeun has been active in dealing with the past (Cambodia genocide) at Youth For Peace for over 15 years. He has actively participated in reconciliation and memory work through education and artwork, creating space for dialogue between children of victim-survivors and children of former Khmer Rouge, and building community memorials and community peace learning canters. He initiated a community-healing approach by encouraging victims forced to marry in the Khmer Rouge time to remarry and established a teacher guidebook on Study Tour to Democratic Kampuchea Historical Mass Killing Sites to integrate into Cambodia’s public education system.
