Explore ways to improve the representation of people of African and African diaspora heritage drawing on 5,000 years of history.
In partnership with EdJAM and others in the University of Bristol, CARGO Movement ran a series of workshops with history teachers from secondary schools in South West England. Outcomes from this contributed to the development of a new online course available on the FutureLearn platform to support teachers and home educators to use CARGO curriculum content.
Using poetry, imagery, and film to enhance the enjoyment of the learning experience, CARGO’s approach is focused on the use of accessible creativity to develop education resources. They are therefore uniquely positioned to help the development of teaching to include African and African diaspora histories.
